Ricardo Hoey , of Ardcarrig, Carrigaline, was charged with assault causing harm to Matt O’Neill at Glenwood, Carrigaline on December 28th when he was brought before a special sitting of Mallow District Court on Friday. Det Garda Declan Healy told the court that Mr Hoey was arrested at 9.48am on December 28th for questioning about the assault. He gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution and told the court Mr Hoey made no reply to the charge when it was put to him.
Insp Tony Sullivan said that gardaí had no objection to bail for Mr Hoey once certain conditions were met. Aoife Buttimer, solicitor for the accused, confirmed the terms were agreeable to her client.
Pity the judges don’t have the balls to deal properly and satisfactory with these thugs.
