Ricardo Hoey was charged assault causing harm to Matt O’Neill in Carrigaline, County Cork on December 28th.He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Detective Garda Declan Healy of Carrigaline Garda Station told the court that Mr Hoey was arrested at 9.48am and brought in for questioning about a serious assault in Carrigaline town earlier that day. Inspector Tony Sullivan said that Gardaí had no objection to bail for Mr Hoey once certain bail conditions were met.

Judge Carroll denied free legal aid to people breaching nonsensical covid regulations but if you nearly kill someone and leave them for dead on the side of the road you get all the legal aid you like. Makes total sense. 🤪
