Taoiseach Micheal Martin has confirmed that the 5km travel limit will be one of the first restrictions they look at lifting in early-April.
He told Spin's Ed Roche and Valerie Wheeler on Fully Charged: "We will meet on the week of the 5th of April and see what we can do. And that's why March is so important in bringing down the numbers and giving us options."I think if we can keep to get the numbers down...that will give us good options in April."
The Cork native responded: "It is frustrating for people not being able to predict what's happening...we're taking a phased by phased approach." In his national address on Tuesday, Deputy Martin expressed similar views on what would reopen first with outdoor activities and sport prioritised.
