Restaurants in Ireland 'want to close' but are awaiting instruction

Restaurants in Ireland "want to close" and wants to Government to issue a directive according to the Restaurant Association of Ireland.Speaking on RTE's Morning Ireland, Mr Cummins said: "We want to close but they need to tell us so that everybody closes.

The full statement this evening reads: "Following discussions today with the Licenced Vintners Association and the Vintners Federation of Ireland , the Government is now calling on all public houses and bars to close from this evening until at least 29 March. "The Government, having consulted with the Chief Medical Officer, believes that this is an essential public health measure given the reports of reckless behaviour by some members of the public in certain pubs last night.

Mother takes legal action against decision not to close schools in Northern IrelandThe Stormont Assembly is to discuss the issue of closing schools today. Can't anything be done without legal action, if she doesn't want her children to go don't send them I don't see why these parents just don't keep their children at home. Surely a good medical case could be proved if required. Closing schools needs careful planning for the care of children. Many parents are in essential jobs and grandparents too vulnerable to help.
