Mauricio Pochettino has declared Tottenham are genuine title contenders before his return to his former club.
Pochettino’s Tottenham nearly won the title in 2016 but lost out after an infamous 2-2 draw at Chelsea known as the Battle of the Bridge. He was sacked in November 2019 before going to PSG and taking over in West London after a year’s sabbatical. Asked about what it would mean to win at Tottenham, the Chelsea boss said: “You say the clubs I would never manage is Arsenal because I consider them the worst enemy for Tottenham.
