Patients who develop cancer after undergoing screening will be granted full disclosure of their screening history if they request a review under amendments to the Patient Safety Bill being brought forward by Stephen Donnelly, the health minister.
The news comes following the death last week of Vicky Phelan, the CervicalCheck campaigner, and as the final instalment of the Scally report into the CervicalCheck controversy is due to be published this week.
