The peak of patients requiring ICU care occurred on 4 April, with 160 people in intensive care beds.

THE NUMBER OF confirmed cases of Covid-19 in intensive care units around the country has fallen to 42, according to the latest figures.

The majority of ICU cases are in Dublin, with St James’s Hospital recording 7 patients as of last night. The Mater, Tallaght, and Beaumont all have recorded six patients in ICU each. Since the beginning of the outbreak, there have been 24,876 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the country and 1,645 people have died.

LurigDramaCDall As recorded at 8pm last night does that mean this number comes under the usual warning about weekend figures, not necessarily a literal number for the previous 24 hours? Interested to know.
