Neymar has completed his move to Saudi Arabia outfit Al-Hilal with the player received a huge reception at the airport ahead of his mammoth £314m deal across two years

The Brazilian is the latest big name to swap Europe for the Middle East as the Saudi Pro League continue to spend huge sums on improving their domestic league. Neymar remains the most expensive player in history and has called time on his PSG stint.

Neymar, who remains one of the biggest names in the sport, has been welcomed at the airport in Riyadh by a huge number of fans. The player himself was donning an Al-Hilal scarf as excitement over the country's latest new recruits peaks. An Al-Hilal official promised a big celebration, saying: "We will hold a big party worthy of the samba dancer."

Neymar joined PSG in 2017 for £198m as he sought individual honours following his time at Barcelona. The Parisians hoped the forward would take them closer to their Champions League dream but neither the player nor the team have managed to achieve those goals. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who hailed the Brazilian's signing six years ago, hailed the player's impact and wished him well in Saudi Arabia. "It is naturally difficult to say goodbye to a legend of the club, which Neymar will always be," said the Qatari.
