Met Eireann says high temperatures of 21 degrees ahead as sunny weekend arrives

A hot and sunny weekend ahead for most of the country, though some areas of cloud remains, says Met Eireann.

Those who want to get outdoors this weekend are in luck, as temperatures are due to reach highs of 21 degrees across the country.Read more: Ireland weather: Met Eireann share when Ireland will be as hot as the Canary IslandsSaturday Rather cloudy with patchy mist and fog to begin on Saturday, with a few showers continuing to affect parts of Munster and Leinster.Highest temperatures of 15 to 21 degrees, warmest in the east in light to moderate northerly breezes.

On Saturday night, any showers will ease quickly and skies will clear. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate northerly winds.A few showers will develop in the afternoon, mainly across the Midlands and South.Mostly dry on Sunday night with any showers clearing early on. A few patches of mist or fog may develop as winds fall light. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

Monday Monday, 20 May, will experience “long spells of sunshine”, with highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees with mostly light southerly or variable winds expected. Weather forecasting service, AccuWeather, currently states that Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands will reach 22 degrees on Monday, 20 May, too. These Spanish temperatures were also confirmed by weather.com.
