Meet Operation Transformation's Paul Devaney - the leader who's taken RTE show by storm

Operation Transformation leader Paul Devaney has emerged as a hit with Irish audiences, who love his off-the-cuff humour and positive outlook.

The bit of comic relief had those watching wondering whether the OT leader should be offered his own show on RTÉ. Paul and Mary have been watching Operation Transformation for years, often following along and printing out recipes put together by the RTE show’s nutritionist. The construction worker notes that his job, which sees him on the road often, can make keeping up with a good diet difficult.

He has been diagnosed with a number of medical conditions that he feels are related to his weight, such as sleep apnea. As a result of the condition, Paul has been on a C-Pap machine for the last year.

NPHET and Ministers meet to discuss easing restrictionsPublic health officials and Government ministers will meet today consider a cautious approach to easing restrictions from 5 April. The North is opening. The government would have hard time to keep all restrictions they have up. At 600 cases? I dunno. It’s mind blowing how stupid we are. Social distancing, hand hygiene, taking extra care if you're vulnerable. They are the only measures needed.

They are so disconnected from the anger of ordinary people about this, and response so far is very poor. Ah yes - the fiannafailparty FineGael response. Let's form a committee and talk shite rather than actually fix anything. You know, I know even the cuckoo clock ⏰ knows that the Government will wait until it gets the go ahead from these funds.

What's keeping them. And nobody held accountable. The Gov't, the HSE and their NPHET will barely be questioned on this by our lame media and non existent opposition. Letting everyone down.
