Martin Lewis busts common heating myth and says when you should put it on

Consumer champion Martin Lewis, known for his thrifty hacks, has addressed a common myth - and his latest advice could save you a small fortune this winter.

He said: "The general advice from the energy saving trust is that you have your heating on when you need it, and you turn it off when you don't need it. The myth that it is cheaper to have it on all day is false." The money guru also shared a common mistake people make when it comes to adjusting the temperature of their central heating. His advice is to keep the temperature at a predetermined setting.
