Laura Woods fills in on Today to co-present with 'pal of 20 years' Dáithí Ó Sé

RTÉ's Maura Derrane was missing from The Today Show on Tuesday as Laura Woods filled in on air for the presenter.Sinead Kennedy also bid farewell to The Today Show as she began maternity leave last week.Laura took to Instagram to share a snap of herself and Dáithí Ó Sé on the set of the show, writing:Delighted to join @daithiose on the @rtetoday couch this afternoon… we’ve a busy show ahead so better go hide the phone now.

The former Ireland AM presenter fills in for Lucy Kennedy on her breakfast show with Colm Hayes on Classic Hits Radio on Fridays too.She is awaiting the birth of her second child later this month.“What a lovely way to leave things for now doing a full shift, the whole week, on RTE Today with my fav Dáithí Ó Sé… you’re a dream to work with and you know I’ll miss the craic for the next while.“Where does the time go? This is already my 4th season on the show! It’s mad.

“I’ve been working in TV 20 years now, have gained so much experience and met the most incredible people. I’m very grateful for all of it.
