Lando Norris sees Charles Leclerc as the man to beat if he is to secure a second Formula 1 race victory in Monaco this weekend.
But the Briton admits he may not be best placed to take advantage if Red Bull's woes continue into Sunday's race. Norris hopes his car's special Ayrton Senna tribute livery will help him to emulate some of the legendary Brazilian's success on the streets of the Principality. Norris added: "I think we're not bad at all, and it's always tricky around here. I think it's a reasonable first day. Definitely lacking a bit compared to Charles and Ferrari. Maybe the Mercedes - the Mercedes does seem very quick as well.
He went on to explain how racing on this unique Monaco circuit presents a different challenge to all the teams in terms of their preparations. He said: "It's a few different things, but the main thing you want around here is slow speed grip.
