Lando Norris' dad has told McLaren his son can be the team's first F1 world champion since Lewis Hamilton next season.
"I think there's a real opportunity to win more this year," Adam Norris told talkSPORT. "He's had a number of seconds. And next year they have really got to aim for the championship, I think. The team is really doing well." "He's been super fast, he was the youngest ever go-kart world champion, before him it was Lewis Hamilton. He's won every championship all the way through and been very quick - but then you need the equipment and the team now is coming through and you're starting to see his real talent.
Reflecting on his victory in Miami, Lando was "over the moon" and thanked McLaren for the way they have supported him over the years. “What a race. It's been a long time coming, but finally I've managed to do it," he said.
