Kelly Osbourne has denied taking Ozempic after losing more than six stone following the birth of her son.
Earlier this year, she heaped praise on the controversial weight loss drug, which is delivered via injection and was originally for diabetes patients to help manage their insulin levels, but Kelly explained that her weight loss was down to cutting out carbs to help her shift the pounds. “I had gestational diabetes and I had to lose the weight that I had gained during pregnancy.
"Otherwise I was at a higher risk of actually getting diabetes, which I did not want. I cut out sugar and carbohydrates and I rapidly lost weight,” she told Extra. “People hate on it because they want to do it. And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or p*ssed off that they can’t afford it. Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive, but it eventually won’t be because it actually works,” Kelly added. Her opinion on the weight loss drug hasn’t been affected by mother Sharon’s experience with Ozempic, as she admitted that she’s suffered from serious side effects.
