Ciara Kelly has said that getting her mobility back has changed everything for her following a double hip replacement.
"I can walk now for hours at a time without difficulty and it’s literally changed my life," said Ciara. "I knew I was back when I went to Venice with two pals a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend. This girl — who couldn’t walk 100 metres a couple of months ago and who could barely get up a flight of stairs — walked 25,000 steps a day and it was incredibly joyous. Up and down, over bridges, on and off boats, basically I walked the legs off myself.
She continued: "Fast forward to day 100, which was five days ago. I practically skipped out the door. I walk with a spring in my step, both physically and mentally. There isn’t really any distance I can’t cover."
