Irish Mirror readers have delivered their verdict on how much of a success Leo Varadkar was as Taoiseach.
The higher education minister, who is now set to be declared leader of the party, said that the last week was a “whirlwind” and he was “overwhelmed and honoured” by the level of support he has seen in his leadership bid. When asked who should succeed Leo Varadkar as Taoiseach? The overwhelming majority of respondents to the poll jumped to put Simon Harris in the Fine Gael leader seat, with 41 per cent stating the 37-year-old was the man for the job.
