Ireland’s Six Nations clash with Italy will now be postponed, according to Minister for Health Simon Harris.
It comes amid an outbreak of Covid-19 in Northern Italy, where over 280 cases have been confirmed in the past few days.Minister Harris had yesterday expressed concern as up to 5,000 Italian fans were expected to travel to Dublin and the IRFU said that it would be guided by the Irish government's wishes.
Ulster were due to travel to face Benetton Treviso in the PRO14 this weekend, but that match has already been postponed.Clashes with Scotland, Wales and England were put back until September and October of the same year due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease.
