Ireland to get early taste of winter as temperatures to plummet

Parts of Ireland will experience a freezing Sunday night as the country gets an early taste of winter.However, temperatures are set to plunge to as low as 0C in some areas on what will be a frosty night - with the midlands expected to be the coldest part of the country."However, there will be a few passing showers, these mainly in northern counties of Ulster and possibly along the Wicklow coast."Cold tonight with long clear spells developing.

"The best of the sunshine is expected in southern and eastern counties. Top temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mostly light, variable breezes."
