Irish runner clocks up 10k miles since collapsing from heart attack

A marathon runner has clocked up a staggering 10,000 miles since collapsing from a heart attack before a race and ‘dying’ nine times.

Sean, who has since run 10,000 miles and completed 230 park runs, said he died nine times during his stint in hospital. And he said despite there being a family history of heart attacks and strokes, he was healthy and never sick. Sean continued: “My mum had a stroke when I was 15 and my dad died of a heart attack, but he was 75 when he passed away.

And he said that despite being banned from running long distances, including marathons, he still runs four times a week.
