Irish language names have seen an upward surge in the past year, with many pet owners opting for names as Gaeilge for their precious pooches; on the long list this year but ultimately failing to make the Top Ten were Púca, Síog, Céilí, Nollaig, Misneach, and Bán. However, the most popular ones have remained the classics, with Teddy taking the third spot and Bella number four.
Mainstays like Nala, Milo, and Daisy remain popular, while several pet parents also took inspiration from their favourite designer brands, going for glamorous names influenced by Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.Emily Miller from Petmania said: “It’s such a delight to meet so many adorable puppies as part of the Puppy of the Year Competition and to welcome a new pack of pups to the Petmania Puppy Club.
