Sinead Farrelly made her Ireland debut in April 2023 and played eight times, including the three games at last year’s World Cup.

Sinead Farrelly has announced her retirement from international football after eight appearances for Ireland.

Eligible through her Cavan-born father, the Pennsylvania native featured in all three games at the finals, against Australia, Canada and Nigeria. A quad injury ruled her out of the most recent games - the Euro 2025 openers against France and England. “Even though I was a latecomer to international football, it meant so much to me and my family. To pull on the Ireland jersey, sing the national anthem and represent the Farrelly family from Cavan was truly special.
