Jamie McGrath has welcomed the arrival of Gavin Molloy from Shelbourne to Scottish giants Aberdeen.

Jamie McGrath reckons new signing Gavin Molloy will be ‘brilliant’ for Aberdeen - after training with the former Shelbourne midfielder during the club’s pre-season camp in Portugal.

McGrath, capped 12 times for Ireland, knew what to expect from Molloy, having watched him in League of Ireland action this year. “He has a really good reputation in Ireland. His team were top of the league. I would tune in every Friday night and I watched them play quite a bit. So I knew a lot about him.“He has settled in very well, he is a really good lad. I think he will be brilliant here for us. And it is good to have another Irishman here.”
