“I don’t want to live in an Ireland where some people are accepted and some people aren’t.'

Some two hundred people gathered on Fairview Bridge and Emer from Ballybough was one of them.“I don’t want to live in an Ireland where some people are accepted and some people aren’t,” she told“And also, I’ve lived in other countries, so I know what it’s like to be an immigrant and I want people to feel welcome.”

Another attendee was actor Liam Cunningham who said all Irish people should be showing solidarity with refugees.“The vast majority of people in this country - either themselves or their relatives - have worked around the world. “And the amount of countries that have welcomed the Irish - especially places like the United States when we had a Famine.

“And to turn your back on people in need, running from war, running from pain, running from misery… is an absolute disgrace. When asked what his views on those protesting against refugees, he replied:“And that’s not being patronising, they’re misinformed… A lot of this comes down to the Government not providing housing for people because they see so-called ‘foreigners’ coming in and taking their houses - allegedly.

“But that anger should be directed at those in power… not at vulnerable people who are seeking shelter and safety.”

So the headline reads to turn ur back on people in need is a disgrase.. How long has the government been turning its back on Irish people, raising the cost of living, double and trripple taxation, working families can't afford basic things!!!

The government turned their back on the Irish people a long time ago and began prioritising foreigners. No more. Your guilt trips don’t work. IrelandIsFull

ngo's get billions in funding and them and the leftist politicians who organised this stunt could only muster a crowd of about 200, very poor turnout, the tide really is beginning to turn

Are you joking me? I’m an American x-pat, lived here over twenty years and I’m still not “accepted”. Least of all, am I accepted by people of this very same ilk, that profess they want everyone accepted.

The clip of the middle class bint nearly crying was hilarious 😄 ever notice how former asylum seekers settled here never bother showing up to these events? Likely because African Christians dont want to be seen beside transgenders and other nutters who go to these 😄
