There were queues at a funeral home in her native Longford town for her wake last night, ahead of her funeral later this morning.
Ms McNally, who came from a well-respected family in Longford, will be cremated in a private ceremony after her requiem mass in St Mel’s Cathedral in the town. Authorities claim Pieciak stabbed Ms McNally in the bar after she indicated that she wanted to end their relationship.A district attorney in New York claimed that Marcin Pieciak tried to escape after the brutal murder of the Longford native – only to be stopped by a punter at the bar until cops arrived.
“It was unprovoked and a devastating loss for the family. We are using every resource to make sure there is accountability.”
