'I'd love him to keep going. I think everyone feels the same - he's a special, special player.'

Ireland's new Six Nations champions Jack Crowley and Joe McCarthy are hoping that "heartbeat" of the team Peter O'Mahony stays on.

"He’s someone I have such respect for and the group have such respect for because he’s himself and he leads with his actions.Speaking pitchside after collecting their first silverware with Ireland in their first championship as starters and then doing a lap of honour, both Crowley and McCarthy spoke of the lessons they have learned through the campaign.

"I've been so grateful the coaches gave me the opportunity and they trusted me throughout the tournament, last week we lost but they trusted me again.
