Tickets have already sold out for Electric Picnic and Altogether Now but there are plenty of others to whet your appetite

For 2019, Ireland’s festival count has increased even more with loads of great new music events popping up around the country.From 100% retro at the Forever Young event to the quirky Another Love Story hosted in a beautiful country manor, we’ve rounded up some of the best for summer ’19.

The Stunning and The 4 of Us will headline the weekender and will be joined by The Frank and Walters, Jerry Fish, Declan O’Rourke, The 2 Johnnies and Dublin Gospel Choir - but there’s more to be revealed over the coming weeks. Last year’s Féile Classical, that put on a load of 90s acts on show, has grown to a full weekender as Tipp Classical.

The music side of things shows off a host of homegrown talent and houses punters in 150 self-catering houses and apartments in Trabolgan. Dundalk’s Just Mustard will perform along with I’d Fight Gandhi who are reuniting briefly to perform. Groove Armada, Todd Terje and Grand Master will headline the Saturday while Chvrches, Jungle and Marc Rebillet will bring the noise on Sunday.

Tickets for the festival are selling quickly but there are still some available, starting from €182 for the weekend. Forever Young festival, which has been set up to raise money to launch a new animal welfare charity, Animal Welfare Ireland, will take place at Palmerstown Estate, Naas, Kildare from July 5-7.FORBIDDEN FRUIT The three-day Dublin event retuns for the June Bank Holiday weekend with an impressive line up for 2019.
