It's set to be another dull cloudy day but the weekend will bring much more "unsettled" conditions with heavy outbursts of rain and a risk of localised flooding.
Thursday will see patchy rain, drizzle and mist, mainly in the west and north but it will remain largely or completely dry in south Leinster and parts of Munster.The mercury will drop to as low as freezing point overnight with patchy frost expected also.There will be some limited bright or sunny spells will also occur.
Saturday will be dry in most areas, with a good deal of cloud. Some patchy rain and drizzle will occur, mainly in coastal counties of the south and east.Saturday night will see heavier rain lash much of Munster and Connacht accompanied by strong gusty winds.
