Nadine Coyle was left choking while performing with her Girls Aloud bandmates during their five-night residency at London's iconic O2 Arena earlier this week

Girls Aloud 's Nadine Coyle faced an extremely awkward blunder while performing at the O2 Arena in London.

Before reuniting, the band had been mired in feuds but came together to support their late bandmate, Sarah Harding, following her devastating breast cancer diagnosis and tragic passing. Honouring Sarah's final wish, the group decided to reunite to celebrate their 20th anniversary since being formed on ITV's Popstars: The Rivals.

As she belted out the lyrics to the BRIT Award-winning song, the Derry-born star tried to keep her cool after pink confetti was fired across the arena. In a video which has been shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Sweetest High singer could be seen attempting to cover her mouth. Welcoming the final chorus of the Love Actually track, thousands of pieces of multicoloured confetti were fired across Dublin's 3Arena – yet again, catching Nadine by surprise as she inhaled the pieces. "Nadine Coyle choking on confetti has to be a tour highlight for me. She's an icon," wrote Josy alongside the hilarious video.
