Gardai conducting a checkpoints operation on Saturday caught several motorists for the same serious offence.
Seven road users were arrested for drink driving in Dublin city centre at a checkpoint inspecting motorists for intoxicants.In a post on Twitter, gardai said: "Seven motorists arrested for DUI on Saturday night in Dublin City Centre at Mandatory Intoxicant Testing Checkpoints conducted by Roads Policing Units from the Dublin Region - including 3 positive tests for cocaine at one checkpoint alone.
Gardai and GoSafe checked the speed of 192,333 vehicles and detected 419 of those travelling over the speed limit.
