Fr Seán Sheehy on Listowel sermon: 'Why would I apologise for the truth?'

A priest who used a sermon to criticise abortion, gay marriage and transgender people has said he should not have to apologise for"the truth".gathered in a church in Listowel on Sunday:"What is so sad today is you rarely hear about sin, but it's rampant.

"My answer basically is that I'm giving the teaching of the scriptures and the church regarding homosexual sexual relationships: that they're sinful and that's it," he said.Fr Sheehy said sins are being enshrined in the law. "Permission of abortion - that's sinful, that's killing the unborn - transgenderism that's going against the law of nature, it's going against the Book of Genesis; there are only two genders and that's it.
