A priest has defended the controversial comments which he made during a sermon, at St Mary’s Church in Listowel over the weekend.
Now, he said said that any openly gay politicians or politicians who support same sex married will "absolutely" be going to Hell.Speaking on Radio Kerry, Fr Sheehy expressed no regret over his original words. “Because what they’re doing is contrary to the law of nature and secondly, and more importantly, it’s contrary to the law of God. When you go against God, who is the author of life, you actually go against life itself.”“I couldn’t care less really because I know myself that what I said cannot be disproven by any honest to God Catholic, Christian or Catholic teaching and that’s the bottom line,” Fr Sheehy said.
I think Leo should go to hell but not for that reason.
