An Independent Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday issued a ruling on the recent game between Cork City and Bohemians.

Cork City have been informed that they breached rules regarding substitutions during their recent 1-0 win away to Bohemians. And in a precedent-setting decision, the Independent Disciplinary Committee ruled that they would get to keep the points, despite finding that they used too many ‘substitution opportunities’.

Teams are allowed to make a total of five substitutions, but they must do so in three windows, excluding half-time and concussion incidents. The Committee decided to issue a warning to Cork City, rather than dock points - and Bohs cannot appeal the ruling.
