Things have taken a turn for the worst

Dublin Airport is once again in chaos as the weekend saw flight cancellations, further delays and reports of travellers losing their baggage.

Aer Lingus was forced to cancel six flights out of Dublin on Sunday, causing anger among passengers as the airport faced one of its busiest days of the year. Another common issue arising is lost baggage, as travellers took to social media to share that many of them had been waiting days for their cases - but they were yet to be found.

Delays reported at Dublin Airport check-in desks over busy weekendQueues at check-in desks due to ‘staffing challenges’ facing airlines, airport management says DAA head should roll, assured the issue would be resolved and to no one’s suprise it hasn’t been … Nothing but pass the buck and whataboutery. DAA should fix their own problems first before moaning about issues with third parties/sub-contractors.

Dublin airport running smoothly on busiest weekend of the yearSecurity wait times kept below 30 minutes since early morning wave of departures Horse manure. Security time seems to be measured from when you get to a certain location. I saw 30 mins on my app, 50mins by the time I got to the TV monitor, but it took me 90mins to get there. So total wait was 140mins Friday afternoon obviously not part of the weekend. 1. Security an hour. 2. Some bags diverted 4 RANDOM control. Nothing wrong with them, but more waiting. Then, DublinAirport has 2 people randomly stopping passengers going towards the gates 400+ for RANDOM bag checks. A joke. The place was a disaster yesterday afternoon
