The Government has agreed a pathway to cut 51% of economy-wide emissions by 2030. Here's what they are.

The Government says the changes for agriculture will be voluntary, and allow farmers to play their part.It says there will be"generous financial incentives" in return, with an additional financial package in Budget 2023.

Ranges of reductions will be updated annually to"ensure alignment with our legally-binding economy-wide Carbon Budgets and Sectoral Emissions Ceilings", the Government says."The targets that have been set today are going to be challenging for all sectors but they are also fair, appropriate and, importantly, based on what is achievable.

"I have every faith that we will, together, reduce our overall economy-wide carbon emissions, year by year.""We will provide advice and expertise, grants and loans to reduce energy use, increase the use of electricity and, in time, hydrogen, carbon capture and storage and other new technologies. "The protection and enhancement of our sustainable food production system, while ensuring that agriculture plays its part in climate change mitigation, has been a priority for this Government.

Another small incremental step into the dystopic future for all the children of Ireland under the guise of the love of the greater good and science from our experts. Horror show

Will never be met bud but at least you wont be in government to do anything about it.

From 1974, Warming or Freezing ? It's BS.

Globalists run Ireland.

Fixed.

No evidence or reasons needed no? Absolute bullshit

2030 huh? Coincidentally the WEF says we will own nothing and be happy by 2030. There using climate change as a tool for us to agree with their changes.

Be more in line for this clown to figure out why Bord Gaís has been allowed double its profits this year, under the pretence of rising energy costs. Windfall tax the fuck out of them and give it back.

More taxes, more hardship, to satisfy Green egos.

Hope whoever is in power next undoes that climate bill

Joke

Powers cuts coming soon to a town near you. Don't forget to get your FREE SMART METER. IT'S FREE FOR A REASON🤡🤪

Pure gibberish

If people accept this and do nothing we are seriously fucked

Which will make absolutely no difference to 'climate change' but will put limitations on everything we do.

Tax..tax..tax...tax ....

Absolute nonsense. When it all goes tits up like Sri Lanka. The media who is pushing this nonsense will be held accountable.

What it means for us? Food shortages, price hikes, destruction of rural Ireland

It's all over

What’s the bets that our emissions will actually be higher in 2030 than they are today..... but we’ll make people’s lives a misery trying anyway

All that for a Gold Star...Top of Class.. Blue Peter Badge...as Ireland contributes miniscule amounts of emissions globally and India, China, USA, Brazil etc keep on keeping on

This is what's coming

And will India China USA do the same no so just admit it's another way to bleed the life out of the average person trying to survive

Bwahahaha

Government won't be here long and the majority won't wanna do this so that's how it will go
