A brave young woman told how she was robbed of her childhood when she was diagnosed with a rare disease but now “nothing is holding her back”.

Eventually the condition seemed to go into remission, but it came back when Niamh was seven and her condition had spread to other joints. She said: “Getting up for school every morning was a struggle.
