As multiple Hall of Fame ballots are made public, Wilnerness590 has joined the social-media discussions. But it's not fair to critique without putting one's figurative money where one's keyboard is, so here is his pseudo-ballot.

Going into my 30th year covering MLB, I would love to be able to cast a ballot in the election for the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but I get why broadcasters aren’t eligible. Many of them are team employees, which can definitely lead to bias. Of course, over the past decade, there has been a Hall of Fame vote cast for Jacque Jones, Aaron Sele and Carlos Lee, among others. Placido Polanco even got two! If that’s not bias, then I’m not sure what else one can call it.

Walker was a supreme six-tool talent , and many who played with and against him say he was the best they ever saw. His numbers are beyond reproach: A career .313/.400/.565 hitter who was a defensive wizard in right field with a cannon arm and who ran the bases as well as anyone.

Wilnerness590 The normalization of cheaters is a sad reality. “Better cheaters” is a heartbreaking evaluation. I get that it’s hard NOT to have Bonds and Clemons. And they’d probably be in if they didn’t cheat. That’s why it’s such a stiff penalty.

Wilnerness590 It's beyond hypocritical to be hot and bothered that voters are ignoring basic facts about players when, in your support of Bonds, Clemens, Sosa etc., you are advocating a complete disregard for the HOF voting directive to consider, 'integrity, sportsmanship, character.'

Wilnerness590 You got a love a society that is willing to reward cheaters. Basically telling our kids that it’s OK to cheat because you’ll be rewarded in the end

Wilnerness590 I don’t understand why anyone would try to justify adding somebody to any sort of Hall of Fame when it’s blatantly known that they cheated. Would you reward are university student with a full academic scholarship if you found out all of their exams were written by somebody else?

Wilnerness590 Bonds and Clemens are cheaters I hope they never get in EVER ...

Wilnerness590 Absolutely not, no room for cheaters in the HOF🇨🇦

When it comes to unanimous Hall picks, Derek Jeter could be No. 2. - TSN.caWhen it comes to unanimous picks for baseball's Hall of Fame, Derek Jeter quite appropriately has the chance to be No. 2. Yankees closer Mariano Rivera became the first player to appear on every ballot when he swept 425 votes in last year's election. most overrated short stop in the history of the game Let’s hope that there’s some voters that are brave enough not to vote for him because he doesn’t warrant being the second unanimous selection.
