Why keeping up with the latest content might feel more obligatory than appealing via nparts

A week ago, just ahead of the release of Joker, I was hit with a series of texts from friends all asking the same question: “Are you going to see it?”

Skipping out on, say, Captain Marvel as I did last year felt wrong. How could I praise its representation of a woman in a leading role if I didn’t actually see it? I’ve never watched a single episode of Netflix’s Ozark, and yet, my friends and Emmy voters all suggest it’s worth my time. There was a time, too, when I would catch every major Oscar contender ahead of the awards ceremony. Recently, however, keeping up has felt more obligatory than appealing.

There was also a time, not too long ago, when I didn’t have as many responsibilities, that I’d visit the theatre once a week, and watch a few episodes of something each night — with commercials! Now, I’m lucky if I have the time to catch a couple of movies a month.

Bush, saying she is friends with the former U.S. president. Here's why: her wealth insulates her from even one iota of harm that this man did, and his party continues to do to marginalized communities. She built a brand on fighting for LGBTQ rights, but when the cameras are off, wealth trumps principle. thehamptoneffect Fantastic reply by Ellen. Well said, more people need to follow in her footsteps I do see that back in the day he attempted to ban gay marriage. However I am still with Ellen here, you can be in the same room with people and have different points of view. Heck you can enjoy something together when you have different opposing views.
