It’s a much healthier way to live. Everyone should make a conscious effort. Bargain food stores subsidiaries of Loblaws, Dominion and such are a result of all the food they through out. Instead of throwing it out they sell it at a cheaper price just before it needs to be tossed. The stuff that needs to be tossed goes to food banks for a tax right-off. Surprised the numbers aren’t actually higher and would imagine a geographical breakdown shows higher waste in urban areas where there is less connection to where and how food is produced. Buy local and buy from a farmer.

Fines should be levied at supermarkets if food is wasted, mark it down so many of us could eat better or donate it. Most times I bet your struggling employees would like some too. Ya have two bus stops within blocks of each other. Blockhead Being within minutes of fast transit and having that transit go to where people want to go are 2 different stories. Our transit system is built like a wheel with spokes all going to Van, but we want to be able to move between communities which is impractical in current system If the majority live near transit then why the hell am I always stuck in traffic? 🙄
