Stop selling it so high and people can afford to buy healthy food instead of a 5 dollar combo for dinner

So most of the waste is not at the consumer level but at the production level. I don’t feel so bad when I don’t compost anything now.
Fines should be levied at supermarkets if food is wasted, mark it down so many of us could eat better or donate it. Most times I bet your struggling employees would like some too.

I don't see a single food on that picture that could even plausibly be produced in Canada. Meanwhile, my kid's lunch pail may be a culprit of the wastage.
