OTTAWA -- On July 1 the renegotiated North American Free Trade Agreement comes into effect, three years after talks first began to rework the trilateral trade agreement between Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

“With trade between NAFTA members valued at nearly $1.5 trillion in 2018, we can't overstate how vital it is to maintain free and fair trade between our three countries," said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on June 29.MORE DAIRY, WINE SELECTIONS As for what this could mean for consumers, experts have said it’s unlikely to bring down the cost of Canadian products, but it could result in a larger variety of options on grocery store shelves.

It means we are buying goods from other countries rather than being self sufficient, just so a middle man corporation can make money. We dont need this. If we just invested in ourselves as a nation we would be a stronger more independent nation.

How many people on here actually read the USMCA deal? It's more then a trade deal...

How many people on here actually looked up and read the USMCA deal in particular the anti corruption section? This is the problem it's all accessible but most people dont take the Time to gain any knowledge. Stop being spoon MSM bs and use your own reasoning.

Canada is screwed!

It means we are royally FUCKED!!.

Cons see a good deal, they say it sucks... Anyway, there is that 6month clause and also the chance to get out of it, so when Trump gets the boot in Nov, we could if required opt out and renegotiate, unlike Harper's 39 year deal with China, we are stuck with it/ ConNeverHappy

My wish list is that like Trump cancelling and walking away from all of Obama's deals that our new Conservative PM will dump this piece of garbage and tariff the shit out of China for sure and others.

Trudeau will officially be in violation of the USMCA for crimes which violate USMCA statute dealing with corruption. A large protest is expected on Parliament Hill demanding the US take action as partners to that agreement despite Trudeau already under house arrest TrudeauGate

It means that Trump's boy toy and his bimbo got us totally fucked.

Read chapter 24!

It means they failed at securing a good deal. Which is what happens when you send unqualified, Psuedo cool kids to do an adults job.

God bless you Doug. You’re doing the Lord’s work.
