'That '70s Show' actor Danny Masterson, charged with raping three women, made his first appearance Friday in a Los Angeles courtroom, where his attorney declared his innocence and denounced the charges against him as 'politicized.'

Actor Danny Masterson appears at his arraignment in Los Angeles Superior Court in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020. "That '70s Show" actor Danny Masterson, charged with raping three women, made his first appearance Friday in a Los Angeles courtroom, where his attorney declared his innocence and denounced the charges against him as "politicized."

"There have been repeated attempts to politicize this case," said Mesereau, who also represented Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson in their sexual misconduct cases. "He is absolutely not guilty and we're going to prove it." Mesereau argued that the media presence would be unfairly prejudicial to Masterson and taint potential jurors.

The defence has filed documents asking the criminal complaint against Masterson be thrown out as insufficient. A hearing on the issue will be held before Masterson is asked to enter a plea.

No comment here about guilt or innocence but does California not have the usual statute of limitations to restrict such cases moving forward since the alleged rapes occurred over 15 years ago? Can any one clarify? With Cosby, most allegations were tossed due to this statute.

Rapists must be set on fire until they burn to death.

Acting and then being left irrelevant is a tough racket.
