GoFundMe page launched after 26-year-old Nathan Reid hospitalized in West Virginia with extensive injuries to femur, pelvis and back

A Sudbury resident is in a West Virginia hospital after he was severely injured during an ATV race there over the weekend.

Sibling Alex Reid says his brother broke his femur in three places, his pelvis in three places and sustained a fracture along his back as a result of the crash. Nathan’s parents, Scott and Roxanne Reid of Sault Ste. Marie, have been with their son at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. since he was transported to hospital.

“There’s no definite time period for recovery, or even when he can be released from hospital in West Virginia and come back home to Canada,” he said.

Canadian volunteer fighter severely wounded in Ukraine hopes online campaign helps him get back homeThe 50-year-old military veteran said the only reality he can focus on is the moment he will be back home in Canada after being wounded by an anti-tank mine Very simple if Russia is as good as conservatives say they got nothing to worry about. If the Russians are as left says he got what he signed up for. He or they are now at the mercy of Russian laws Lucky he wasn’t caught. Not looking good for captured mercenaries. Apparently it’s illegal for most countries to allow their citizens to volunteer. 'The Ukrainian driver of the pickup got the vehicle wedged on the railway tracks...That’s when JT made a “bad call.” ...That’s when the truck backed over an anti-tank mine.' What a comedy of errors.
