The Sudbury Wolves have traded a fourth-round draft pick in 2023 for Mississauga Steelheads netminder Joe Ranger.
Papineau highlighted Ranger’s “impressive” 0.911 save percentage in 29 games and his playoffs save percentage of 0.922 in three games. A native of Carp, Ont., Ranger stands 6-1 and weighs in at 196 pounds. He is going into his fourth season in the OHL. In 2021-2022, Ranger had a “standout season,” the Wolves said, holding a Goals Against Average of 2.54, a Save Percentage of 0.911 and a record of 16 wins, nine losses and one overtime loss.
