SHESHATSHIU, N.L. — Police in Sheshatshiu are charging a 63-year-old man and 61-year-old woman with peddling alcohol following a traffic stop on May 3.
As part of an ongoing investigation, Mounties stopped a car on Route 520 near Sheshatshiu and arrested Pien Gregoire. Police say the Sheshatshiu man, who was on court-ordered conditions to remain away from the liquor store in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, was arrested for breaching his conditions.Some alcohol, which police believed to be purchased for selling to minors, was found and seized from the car.
Gregoire is facing charges including two counts of peddling alcohol, peddling alcohol to a minor and breaches of a court release. He was released to appear in court at a later date. As part of the investigation, police also arrested a 61-year-old woman on charges of peddling alcohol under the Liquor Control Act.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
