Gloria Burns is one of 11 dead after a stabbing spree on the First Nation and the nearby village of Weldon in the early hours of Sunday,

Darryl says he and Gloria both worked in counselling and crisis response in the nation. He says she was killed after responding to the initial calls on Sunday.Article content Ruby Works says her friend Wes Petterson, 77, was among those killed. She said Petterson ran a coffee row spot across the street from Weldon’s post office where men would show up at 6 a.m. sharp to buy coffee at $2 a cup. She described him as like an uncle to her and a friend to many in the community.“I collapsed to the ground. I lost my breath. It took me about a minute to get my breath back,” Works said.
