Ribbon cutting ceremony for Elexicon Energy's new Belleville Operations Centre, July 4, 2023.

Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis, Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith and Hastings Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Nieman joined Elexicon Energy officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday at the power provider’s new operations centre. The 16,000-foot centre, located at 412 Coleman St. next to the Belleville transit building opened last December.

It is Elexicon’s eastern energy hub and home to their Belleville Distribution Operations crews and teams. Features of the facility include a back-up control room to support the primary control room in Ajax, a functional garage for fleet vehicles, expanded storage for inventory and equipment, plus improved safety with state-of-the-art security features in and around the facility.
