Reggie Jackson reportedly plans to join Clippers once buyout from Pistons is complete.
Reggie Jackson has reportedly agreed to a contract buyout with the Detroit Pistons and plans to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers once he clears waivers.. Terms of his buyout are not currently known. Jackson, who was in the final year of a five-year, $80-million contract he signed with the Pistons in 2015, has averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 assists per game in 14 appearances for Detroit so far this season. The 29-year-old has missed significant time due to injury this year, but did start the Pistons’ final six games heading into the All-Star break and had three 20-point or better performances during that stretch. Jackson will likely take on a reduced role with the Clippers, offering some size in their backcourt and scoring off the bench, joining a Western Conference contender led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George that also added Marcus Morris at the trade deadline.
