Quebec premier suggests Port of Montreal may close if rail blockades continue

MONTREAL -- The Port of Montreal may have to shut down because containers cannot be carried out of the port due to rail blockades, Quebec Premier Francois Legault suggested on Tuesday.

The crisis must be resolved within days, Legault said. Otherwise, people will start noticing empty shelves in stores and experience shortages of some basic energy supplies. Opposition parties Quebec Solidaire and the Quebec Liberal Party urged Ottawa to reach a peaceful solution to the blockades. Interim Parti-Quebecois leader Pascal Berube said police intervention could trigger a negative reaction.

Hey what about all the ships anchored in waters outside Vancouver waiting to unload ,thanks to rail dispute. A lot of them back haul grain from the western farmers. Last year it was CN strike and now blockades . lt's no wonder the west talks about separation .

This bullshit needs to end!

Build more jails. Problem solved.

Too bad the Transcontinental Railroad didn’t still exist and then CN could bypass Toronto and Montreal for Quebec city all the way from Winnipeg! 🚂😊

These FN protesters are going to be orgasmic if they manage to shut down the entire country and its economy. None of them could give a damn about any of it. Their money will never dry up. The feds are terrified of them.

Too bad...so sad.

boy Trudeau, are you paying attention?

Perfect. Let’s do it.

Business associations band together to urge federal action on rail blockadesThe heads of Canada's major business associations have banded together to urge the government to address the ongoing protests and rail blockades that have shut down much of the country's rail system. That goes against Fancy Socks interests. He would much rather stall the Canadian economy for his globalist agenda. Private land, federal implications. This needs to end. It’s terrorism. Why don’t the rail companies just run some snow plows down the rails to clear them off. If the terrorists are threatening a derailment wouldn’t that be bad for the land they are trying to defend?!? So our economy is brought to its knees by 5 unelected “hereditary” chiefs who do not represent anyone.

AFN national chief calls for calm on Wet'suwet'en crisis, rail blockadesThe national chief of the Assembly of First Nations is calling for calm and constructive dialogue to ease tensions over a British Columbia pipeline project and the nationwide protests it's spawned. A lot easier to do if the MSM stopped allowing every self serving low life and NGO to insert their personal and ideological goals into the mix It's condescending to Canada's First Nations and has absolutely nothing to do with the real issues which need to be addressed Call for an end? Perry is nothing more than a bottom feeding leech......
