THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay Police are investigating an unusual motor vehicle collision in the Academy Heights area of the city.

A sedan smashed through a fence before striking a deck at a residence on Pasteur Road on Tuesday evening.The occupant of the residence came out to see the rear end of the vehicle near his door, and police talking to a male driver.Details about the circumstances that led to the collision were not immediately available from police.
